Tuner — Privacy Policy
How the Tuner: Guitar, Violin & Bass iOS app handles information.
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Tuner: Guitar, Violin & Bass (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information. The App is free, contains no ads, no analytics and no behavioral tracking, and no account sign-up.
1. Data we do not collect
We do not collect personally identifiable information. There is no account sign-up; we do not collect your name, email, phone number, location or payment data. The App contains no advertising and no analytics or cross-app/website tracking, and we do not sell your data.
2. Data stored only on your device
- Your settings and preferences (reference pitch A4, theme, language) stay on your device.
- Microphone: the App uses the microphone only, on your device, to detect the pitch of the sound you play, in real time. No audio is recorded or transmitted.
3. Diagnostics (the only data that leaves your device)
To keep the App stable it uses a single third-party service and nothing more: Firebase Crashlytics. If the App crashes, anonymous technical data (device model, OS version and the crash details) is sent so we can fix bugs. It is not linked to your identity, and it is the only information the App transmits.
Crashlytics is provided by Google — firebase.google.com/support/privacy. Apple processes any purchases through your App Store account.
4. Your choices
You can disable microphone access at any time in iOS Settings → Tuner → Microphone. Crash data sent to Google follows their policies.
5. Children and age
The App is rated 4+ and does not target children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.
6. International use
Google may process the limited, anonymous crash data globally, including in the United States.
7. Changes to this policy
Updates are reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
